Why Summit Swim?
As a PediaSwim trained instructor, I have completed a month long, 1:1 instructor training that included 100+ hours of intense in-water training at the SouthWest Aquatics facility in Winter Garden, Florida.
PediaSwim is a child centered approach to learning life-saving water skills. The focus is happy swimmers that not only learn how to handle an aquatic emergency but continue to progress in their swim skills.
Just as I trained, my lessons also focus on a 1:1 approach as their sole instructor until your child(ren) has mastered their basic skills.

I welcome you at any time to observe the lessons and visit with me before choosing to enroll in the program.
How is PediaSwim different?
Did you know that Florida leads with having the most residential swimming pools out of all the states? Estimating 1,590,000 pools which is about 14 people per pool. This does not include other bodies of water or the ocean that residents are surrounded by. As you can imagine, water is part of everyones life in Florida. This is why the Florida Department of Health makes it mandatory that swim instructors MUST be certified under their approved list of swim programs. PediaSwim is a comprehensive swim program for both instructors and students and the state of Florida has recognized this as well. This is the leading reason for why I chose to do my training with such a highly recommended and respected facility in Florida. It offers the gentlest, most effective lessons available teaching infants and toddlers to swim and float independently for fun but most importantly, for safety. It does not matter the PediaSwim instructor, you will get the same positive goals and results with us!

WHAT IS
SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM?

Swim-Float-Swim is a technique that teaches children as young as six months old to float and breathe for an extended period of time, with intermittent periods of swimming toward the shore or pool edge. The child uses kicking while on their stomach to swim toward safety, and then they roll onto their back when tired and float face-up or to kick in that position toward the side of the pool or the shore.
SURVIVAL SWIM LEADS TO RECREATIONAL SWIMMING.

The basic skills of floating, kicking, and paddling give children the confidence and comfort around the water that can lead to a lifetime of recreational enjoyment. Once they reach an age where they can participate in recreational/group swim lessons, they’ll become even stronger, safer swimmers much faster and with less fear.
